Years and years ago I used to love sculpting. This is my first attempt in a long time. It taught me so much and I can attribute much of my anatomical and drafting ability from my lessons learned while sculpting. Sculpting translates to a deeper understanding of form and shape across all artistic mediums. I've got a long ways to go and have a lot to improve but I really had fun with this little project.
Tools:
1. My hands (haha)
2. Dental tools. Burnisher, scaler, sickle probe, etc. for fine details and accessing areas to small and hard to reach for my stubby fingers.
3. Plastic serrated knife for smoothing out larger shapes.
4. Rubbing Alcohol applied to the surface to soften the clay and reduce noise and small surface inconsistencies.
5. Paint brush to apply the rubbing alcohol.
